Job Description
We are looking for an Account Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks. Account Assistant responsibilities include managing Payables and reimbursements, entering financial transactions, creating invoices, and collection. Ultimately, you will help our Accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.

- Billing & Invoicing
- Payables Management
- Bank Reconciliation
- Petty Cash Management
- Debit Note/Credit Note
- Import/Export Documentation
- Customer Correspondence
- Banking Correspondence
- Foreign Remittance & Interest Calculation
- Accounts Finalization
Key Responsibilities:

Data Entry and Record Keeping:
-
Enter daily financial transactions accurately into accounting software or databases.

Maintain organized records of receipts, invoices, payments, and other financial documents.

Ensure that all entries are up-to-date and properly categorized.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:
-
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payment after verifying and reconciling statements.
-
Generate customer invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables.
-
Track payments and update payment status in the system.

Bank Reconciliation:
-
Assist in reconciling bank statements with company records to ensure accuracy.
-
Identify and investigate discrepancies in transactions and report to the senior accountant.
-
Maintain records of reconciled bank transactions.

Financial Reporting Support:
-
Help prepare periodic financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and expense reports.
-
Provide data and documentation for monthly and quarterly closings.
-
Generate simple financial summaries or spreadsheets as required.

Assisting with Budgeting and Forecasting:
-
Collect and compile financial data to assist in preparing budgets.
-
Support the finance team in tracking departmental budgets and expenditures.
-
Assist in variance analysis to compare actual results with forecasts.

Inventory and Asset Management:
-
Help track inventory levels and asset movements, especially in retail or manufacturing companies.
-
Record the purchase and disposal of fixed assets in the system.

Assist in periodic physical inventory checks.

Audit Preparation and Support:
-
Assist with internal and external audit processes by organizing required documents and reports.
-
Provide auditors with requested information in a timely and organized manner.
-
Ensure compliance with company policies and standard accounting practices.

Compliance and Tax Support:
-
Maintain records needed for tax filing and assist with preparation of tax documents.
-
Support the finance team in ensuring compliance with statutory requirements (e.g., GST, VAT, TDS).

File simple tax returns or help prepare documents for tax consultants.

Communication and Coordination:
-
Coordinate with vendors, clients, and other departments regarding payments, billing, and finance-related inquiries.

Respond to emails and calls related to accounting matters.
-
Maintain a professional and courteous communication style.
