Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant Admin with strong working knowledge of Tally, GST regulations, data entry, and basic payroll management. The role involves daily accounting tasks such as data entry in Tally, invoice generation, e-way bill preparation, GST filing, bank reconciliations, and assisting in administrative duties including salary calculations.

This is a dual-function role that requires a professional who is both accounting-accurate and administratively organized. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 5 years of hands-on experience in handling day-to-day financial transactions and office coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Daily Accounting and Data Entry

  • Record daily financial transactions accurately in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime.

  • Maintain updated ledgers, journal entries, purchase/sales vouchers, and expense reports.

  • Ensure timely posting of entries related to purchases, sales, payments, receipts, and adjustments.

2. Invoice and Billing Management

  • Prepare GST-compliant sales and purchase invoices in Tally or Excel.

  • Verify and maintain invoice records and match with purchase orders and delivery notes.

  • Handle vendor/supplier communications regarding invoice queries and payment follow-ups.

3. E-Way Bill Generation

  • Generate e-Way Bills for applicable transactions through the government portal.

  • Ensure proper documentation and coordination with logistics/dispatch teams.

  • Maintain e-Way Bill records in physical and digital formats.

4. Bank and Financial Reconciliation

  • Perform bank reconciliations monthly or as needed by comparing bank statements with company records.

  • Reconcile customer and vendor accounts, identifying discrepancies and resolving them.

  • Track cash, cheques, NEFT/RTGS transactions, and ensure proper entries in books.

5. GST and Statutory Compliance

  • Handle GST filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.) in coordination with external consultants or independently if capable.

  • Ensure proper input/output GST entries and maintain accurate tax records.

  • Assist with TDS calculations, challans, and uploading returns if required.

6. Payroll & Salary Preparation

  • Prepare monthly payroll/salary statements using Excel, based on attendance and leave records.

  • Calculate basic salary, allowances, deductions (PF/ESI/TDS if applicable), and net pay.

  • Maintain employee records, salary slips, and coordinate salary disbursal with the finance team or bank.

7. Office Administration Support

  • Assist with maintaining vendor records, asset registers, office supplies, and utility payments.

  • Coordinate with external vendors (CA, tax consultants, IT service providers).

  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial and administrative records.

8. Reporting and MIS

  • Generate periodic reports such as account summaries, outstanding receivables/payables, and profit/loss snapshots.

  • Assist in preparing documentation for audits, tax filings, and financial reviews.

  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee data.
