Job Description
Required candidate for accountant assistant.
Language known: English, Tamil
Education: Graduate
Job type: Contract (01 - 03 Years), will be extended based on performance.
Job profile: Accounts, inventory management, Tally entries, payment follow-up, invoice generation/billing & admin work.
Skills : Tally experience, Store Keeping, good communication skill.
Max Experience : 2 yrs.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting Support
-
Assist in maintaining day-to-day accounting entries and ledgers.

Record all financial transactions in Tally accurately and in a timely manner.

Support monthly closing processes, bank reconciliations, and ledger balancing.

Maintain records for expenses, income, payments, and receivables.

Help prepare financial statements and reports as required by senior accountants or management.
2. Tally Entries
-
Post daily transactions including purchases, sales, bank entries, and journal vouchers in Tally ERP 9 or Tally Prime.

Create and update ledgers, inventory items, and tax structures.

Ensure all vouchers and supporting documentation are correctly entered and filed.

Reconcile accounts and correct discrepancies in ledger data, if any.
3. Inventory Management
-
Monitor stock levels and update inventory records in Tally or Excel.

Assist in stock audits, product tracking, and inventory valuation.
-
Record inward and outward movement of goods from the warehouse/store.
-
Generate inventory reports as needed by management.
4. Invoice Generation and Billing
-
Generate accurate tax invoices and bills for customers based on goods/services provided.

Ensure correct application of GST, discounts, and other charges in the invoice.

Maintain records of all sales invoices issued.

Send invoices to clients via email or courier and confirm receipt.
5. Payment Follow-up
-
Track receivables and follow up with customers for overdue payments.

Prepare and share payment reminders, aging reports, and outstanding statements.

Coordinate with the sales or business development team regarding client payments.

Update received payments in Tally and reconcile customer ledgers accordingly.
6. Administrative Support
-
Assist in managing office documentation and maintaining proper filing systems (digital and physical).

Coordinate with vendors and service providers for administrative needs.
-
Maintain office supplies and handle petty cash transactions and reimbursement records.
-
Support the HR or Admin department with daily paperwork, document scanning, and coordination activities.

Attend to client/vendor calls or walk-ins related to invoices, payments, or account statements.
