Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Accountant (CA Inter) with a strong background in accounting and statutory compliance for the real estate industry. The ideal candidate must have a thorough understanding of the entire accounting cycle—from voucher entry to finalization of accounts and preparation of the balance sheet—and should be well-versed with taxation and statutory regulations including Income Tax, GST, TDS, PT, Labour Laws, and Company Law.
This is a critical role within the organization, requiring precision, experience, and the ability to handle complex financial operations independently. The candidate should have 2–3 years of relevant experience, ideally within the real estate or construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Full Accounting Cycle

Handle the end-to-end accounting process from voucher entry to trial balance and balance sheet finalization.

Record daily transactions such as purchase, sales, payments, receipts, journal entries, and adjustments.

Ensure that all entries comply with accounting standards and internal company policies.
2. Real Estate Accounting

Maintain accurate books of accounts specific to real estate projects, including project-wise cost tracking, budgeting, and revenue recognition.

Work on RERA-compliant reporting (if applicable) and monitor cash flow for various project sites.

Manage advances from customers, stage-wise invoicing, and receivables related to property bookings.
3. Taxation and Statutory Compliance

Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual Returns), reconcile GST input/output, and handle audits if required.

Calculate, deduct, and deposit TDS on applicable transactions; file TDS returns and generate Form 16A.

Ensure timely payment of Professional Tax (PT), Labour Welfare Fund (LWF), and any applicable Statutory Labour Payments.

Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors during statutory and internal audits.

Stay up-to-date with changes in Income Tax laws, GST regulations, and Company Law compliance.
4. Payroll & Labour Law Compliance

Oversee monthly payroll entries, statutory deductions, and remittances related to EPF, ESI, and labour cess.

Maintain registers and records as required under labour laws.

Coordinate with HR for salary structure verification, bonus calculation, and statutory deductions.
5. Financial Reporting

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.

Generate project-specific MIS reports and cost analysis for management review.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
6. Liaison & Coordination

Coordinate with internal departments (sales, procurement, HR, legal) for financial inputs and documentation.

Liaise with banks, auditors, government departments, and vendors regarding financial transactions and statutory requirements.

Assist external auditors during tax and statutory audits and ensure timely resolution of audit observations.
7. Internal Control & Documentation

Maintain organized records of all financial documents, agreements, invoices, and statutory filings.

Implement internal financial controls to ensure compliance, prevent fraud, and ensure timely reporting.

Assist in ERP/Accounting software implementation and streamlining processes for automation.
Skills & Qualifications
Education & Certification
-
CA Inter (IPCC) – Mandatory
-
Graduate or Postgraduate in Commerce / Accounting / Finance
-
Additional certifications in Tally ERP, SAP, or real estate ERP systems will be an advantage
Experience
-
2–3 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in the real estate or construction industry

Experience in handling project accounts, statutory filings, and finalization of books of accounts
Technical Skills

Proficiency in Tally ERP, Excel (Advanced), and accounting/ERP systems used in real estate

Sound knowledge of Income Tax, GST, TDS, PT, Company Law, and Labour Law

Familiarity with statutory portals: GST, Income Tax, TRACES, MCA, EPFO, ESIC, etc.

Working knowledge of real estate compliance requirements like RERA will be a plus
