Position Overview
The Accountant Executive is a key role within the finance and accounting department of an organization, responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of accounting tasks. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and supporting senior management with essential financial data to drive decision-making.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a strong commitment to accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. The role may require coordination with internal departments, external auditors, clients, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting and Accounting:

Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

Record journal entries, reconcile bank statements, and maintain general ledgers.

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Manage daily operations of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

Verify and process invoices, expense reports, and reimbursements.

Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.

Resolve invoice discrepancies and maintain vendor and customer relationships.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assist in the preparation of the company’s annual budget and periodic forecasts.

Analyze budget-to-actual variances and identify key trends and areas of concern.

Support management in financial planning and performance analysis.
4. Compliance and Taxation:

Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Prepare documentation for tax filings, such as GST, VAT, and corporate income taxes.

Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and tax assessments.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting and tax regulations.
5. Financial Analysis and Reporting:

Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.

Identify financial trends, variances, and risk areas to support strategic business decisions.

Provide insights and recommendations for cost reductions and operational efficiency improvements.
6. Internal Controls and Processes:

Develop, document, and implement internal control processes to safeguard company assets.

Ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded and reported.

Conduct periodic reviews and audits of financial systems and records.
7. Coordination and Communication:

Work closely with various departments including operations, sales, procurement, and HR to gather financial information and improve financial processes.

Communicate financial results and insights clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
8. Software and Systems:

Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.) to manage financial data.

Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and automation tools.
