Job Description
Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.
Tasks
• Operate computers programmed with accounting Tally software to record, store, and analyze information.
• Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
• Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers.
• Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using Tally
• Operate 10-key calculators, typewriters, and copy machines to perform calculations and produce documents.
Work Activities
• Getting Information — Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
• Interacting With Computers — Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
• Processing Information — Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.
• Documenting/Recording Information — Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.
• Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work — Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.

• Verify accuracy of financial or transactional data.
• Execute sales or other financial transactions.
• Collect deposits, payments or fees.
• Prepare cash for deposit or disbursement.
• Calculate financial data.

• Education and Training on accounting and related subject is must.

• Personnel and Human Resources — Knowledge on handling people query and grievance is must.

Previous experience would be added advantage, freshers are also welcome who are keen in perusing career in Accounts.
