Job Description

End to End accounting training (trained under a CA) .
Experience with day to day accounting functions of preparing invoices, entering bills, calculating payroll.
Knowledge about the general ledger entries for sales, cash receipts, bills received, bill paid.
Concept of sales tax.
Basic concepts on income tax and expense deductions – just concepts, since specifics are different in each tax regime.
Payroll process and related journal entries for withholdings, deductions and then payment of those withholdings and deductions.
Book closing process and steps involved:
Basic understanding of Trial balance and how is it related to Balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statements.
Account reconciliations with outside balance sources – Bank reco., loans reco. Interest expense reco.
Reconciliation of AP and AR subledger with the GL balances for AR and AP.
Verbal communication skills and experience in dealing with US authorities.
