Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of our real estate business. The ideal candidate will handle accounting for property transactions, rental income, project costs, and compliance with statutory requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, and familiarity with real estate financial practices.Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting:

Maintain books of accounts for multiple real estate projects.
Prepare and post journal entries, ledgers, and trial balances.
Reconcile bank statements and inter-company accounts.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

Manage payments to contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Track receivables from clients, tenants, and other stakeholders.
Ensure timely invoicing and follow-up on collections.

Real Estate Specific Accounting:

Record property sales, purchases, and leasing transactions.
Maintain escrow accounts and manage advance payments.
Track project costs, including material, labor, and overheads.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Provide financial insights to support decision-making on property investments and developments.

Compliance & Audits:

Ensure compliance with local tax laws, GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
Coordinate with auditors for statutory and internal audits.
Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.

Other Duties:

Collaborate with project managers and sales teams for accurate financial reporting.
Implement process improvements to streamline accounting functions.
Support management in financial planning and strategy.
