Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial records, reporting, compliance, and day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to handle multiple tasks accurately.
The Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization, ensuring timely reporting, and supporting management in decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. General Accounting

Maintain daily financial records including receipts, payments, invoices, and journals.

Post transactions in Tally ERP, QuickBooks, or other accounting software.

Ensure accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies promptly.
2. Bank & Cash Management
-
Manage bank reconciliations for all accounts.
-
Handle cash flow management, petty cash, and payment disbursements.
-
Monitor and report bank balances and fund availability.
3. Accounts Receivable & Payable
-
Maintain debtor and creditor records and ensure timely collection/payment.
-
Follow up on outstanding invoices and coordinate with customers/vendors.
-
Prepare ageing reports and track overdue payments.
4. Taxation & Compliance
-
Calculate and maintain TDS, GST, and other statutory deductions.
-
Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.
-
Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
5. Payroll & Employee Expenses
-
Maintain employee salary records and payroll processing.

Handle reimbursement of employee expenses and related accounting entries.

Prepare reports for management regarding payroll, PF, ESI, and other deductions.
6. Financial Reporting & Analysis
-
Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and cash flow statements.

Analyze financial data and provide insights for cost control, revenue growth, and budget planning.

Support management in financial decision-making and strategy.
7. Documentation & Record-Keeping
-
Maintain proper documentation of invoices, receipts, and vouchers.

Ensure archival of financial records for auditing and compliance purposes.

Support internal and external audit processes.
8. Coordination & Communication
-
Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, clients, and banks for smooth operations.

Report financial performance and discrepancies to Finance Manager regularly.

Collaborate with other departments for budget preparation and expenditure tracking.
Required Skills & Competencies
1. Technical Accounting Skills
-
Proficient in Tally ERP, QuickBooks, SAP, or other accounting software.

Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax, and statutory compliance.

Ability to prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and reports accurately.
2. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

Strong analytical ability to interpret financial data.

Identify errors, discrepancies, and recommend solutions for cost optimization.
3. Communication Skills

Good verbal and written communication for reporting and coordination.

Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
4. Time Management & Organization

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.

Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.

High level of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
