Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, trustworthy, and organized** Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, handling tax and statutory obligations, managing ledgers, and supporting budgeting and audits.
This role is vital for ensuring accurate financial documentation, timely payments, and smooth internal financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily Accounting Operations:

Record all financial transactions accurately in the accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, etc.).

Maintain ledgers, books of accounts, and bank statements.

Monitor cash flow, daily cash and bank balances, and petty cash management.

Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Prepare and process vendor bills, staff reimbursements, and other payables.

Issue invoices and track payments from clients/customers.
-
Follow up on overdue payments and maintain AR aging reports.

Reconcile customer and vendor accounts.
3. Taxation and Statutory Compliance:

Calculate and file GST returns, TDS, and other statutory taxes as per deadlines.

Maintain tax records and coordinate with consultants for IT filings.

Ensure compliance with local laws and audit requirements.

Generate Form 16, 26AS, and assist with tax assessments if necessary.
4. Financial Reporting:

Assist in the preparation of Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and other financial reports.

Maintain records for audit purposes and provide data as requested.

Support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Assist in internal and external audits.
5. Payroll & HR Support (If applicable):

Process monthly payroll in coordination with HR.

Calculate statutory deductions like PF, ESI, PT, etc.

Maintain salary registers and employee payment records.
