Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant with a positive attitude to join our finance team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with basic accounting knowledge looking to start their career in accounting and finance. The candidate should be familiar with fundamental accounting principles and possess essential computer skills, including operating system and accounting software proficiency.
As an Accountant, you will assist with day-to-day financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and support senior accountants in various accounting functions. We value a willingness to learn, reliability, and a strong work ethic alongside technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Basic Accounting Tasks:

Record daily financial transactions such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.

Prepare and maintain journals, ledgers, and other financial records.

Assist in reconciling bank statements and identifying discrepancies.

Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Help with invoicing, billing, and following up on payments.
2. Data Entry and Documentation:

Enter financial data accurately into accounting software and spreadsheets.

Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, vouchers, and other financial documents.

Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
3. System and Software Usage:

Operate and navigate accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems.

Perform basic troubleshooting of accounting software and collaborate with IT support as needed.

Use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word) and other relevant applications to prepare reports and analyze data.

Understand and use computer operating systems (Windows, Mac OS) for daily tasks and software installations.
4. Compliance and Assistance:

Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and accounting standards.

Assist in payroll processing, tax filing, and other statutory compliance under supervision.

Collaborate with other departments such as procurement, sales, and administration for smooth financial operations.

Support senior accountants and finance managers in ad hoc accounting assignments.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field preferred.

Fresh graduates or candidates with basic accounting certifications are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge & Skills:

Understanding of basic accounting principles (debits, credits, ledger accounts, trial balance).

Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP, QuickBooks, SAP) is preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (basic formulas, data entry).

Basic knowledge of computer operating systems (Windows preferred; Mac OS knowledge is a plus).

Ability to learn new software tools quickly and adapt to system updates.

Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
