Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Recordkeeping

Maintain and update general ledger entries, accounting journals, and financial documentation.

Record day-to-day financial transactions including purchases, receipts, payments, and sales.

Ensure all transactions are properly documented and recorded in accounting systems.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable
-
Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, verify payments, and ensure timely disbursement.

Raise invoices for customers, follow up on payments, and maintain accurate records of receivables.

Monitor outstanding accounts and ensure timely collection of dues.
3. Bank and Cash Reconciliation
-
Perform monthly bank reconciliations to match company records with bank statements.
-
Reconcile petty cash balances and monitor day-to-day cash flow transactions.

Track discrepancies in financial records and resolve them promptly.
4. Taxation and Compliance
-
Calculate and file statutory tax returns such as GST, TDS, income tax, or VAT based on applicable jurisdiction.
-
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial laws and regulations.

Maintain accurate records for audits and financial inspections by regulatory authorities.
5. Payroll Support
-
Assist in the calculation of employee salaries, statutory deductions (PF, ESI, TDS), and payroll taxes.

Maintain payroll records and ensure timely salary disbursement.

Coordinate with HR for employee-related financial documentation and benefits.
6. Financial Reporting and Analysis
-
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Analyze financial data to provide insights on business performance.
-
Assist management with budgeting and forecasting by supplying relevant financial data.
7. Inventory and Asset Management
-
Maintain records of fixed assets, track depreciation, and support periodic physical verification.
-
Coordinate with inventory and procurement teams to ensure stock records align with financial systems.
-
Record inventory adjustments and investigate variances.
8. Coordination and Communication
-
Collaborate with internal teams including sales, operations, and procurement to ensure smooth financial operations.
-
Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities.
-
Support external audits by preparing and submitting required financial documents.
