Job Overview
An Accountant is responsible for managing the organization’s financial records, bookkeeping, tax filings, and compliance while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions. The role involves preparing financial statements, GST returns, TDS filings, payroll management, and bank reconciliations, along with supporting audits and assisting management in decision-making through accurate reporting.
This position is ideal for candidates with strong knowledge of Tally ERP / Tally Prime, GST compliance, and basic to advanced accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting and Bookkeeping

Record day-to-day financial transactions in Tally ERP / Tally Prime or other accounting software.

Maintain ledgers, journal entries, receipts, and vouchers.

Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently.

Prepare purchase bills, sales invoices, and credit/debit notes.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
2. GST and Tax Compliance

Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) accurately and on time.

Reconcile GST input and output tax credits.

Ensure compliance with TDS, professional tax, and other statutory obligations.

Assist external consultants in tax audits and assessments.
3. Bank and Payment Management

Perform monthly bank reconciliation for all company accounts.

Monitor cash flows and maintain proper petty cash records.
-
Ensure timely vendor payments and track outstanding dues.
-
Prepare payment advice and coordinate with banks for online transactions.
4. Payroll and Employee Settlements
-
Process monthly payroll and manage related deductions (PF, ESI, TDS).
-
Maintain employee attendance, leave records, and overtime details.
-
Handle full & final settlements for resigned employees.
5. Financial Reporting

Prepare profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial summaries for management.

Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.

Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making.
6. Audit Preparation and Support

Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors.

Prepare necessary documents and statements for audits.
-
Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind-AS) and statutory guidelines.
Required Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills

Proficiency in Tally ERP / Tally Prime and other accounting software.

Knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory compliances.

Familiarity with MS Excel, Word, and reporting tools.
