Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a knowledgeable and results-driven Accountant responsible for managing, analyzing, and reporting the company’s financial transactions. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling financial record-keeping, accurate reconciliation, financial reporting, and demonstrating strong technical skills in areas such as cost accounting, forensic accounting, and international accounting standards.
As a vital part of our finance team, the Accountant will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial data and reports, supporting business decision-making through meaningful financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Transaction Management:

Record all day-to-day financial transactions accurately in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Zoho Books).

Ensure timely posting of journal entries, ledger updates, and vouchers for purchases, sales, expenses, and payroll.

Review financial documents for accuracy and completeness.
2. Financial Record Keeping:

Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records and documentation for audit and regulatory compliance.

Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, verify payment terms, and ensure timely settlements.

Maintain fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules, and financial ledgers.
3. Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Reports.

Analyze financial performance, variances, and trends to support management decisions.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis for different departments or projects.
4. Reconciliation and Compliance:

Perform bank reconciliations regularly to match books with bank statements.

Reconcile vendor and customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements like GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF/ESIC, and file returns accordingly.
5. Technical Accounting Responsibilities:

Apply cost accounting techniques to track and control manufacturing or service costs.

Use forensic accounting skills to detect errors, frauds, and misstatements in financial records, if required.

Work with international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) if handling foreign transactions or multinational clients.

Assist in preparing financial audits, internal control reviews, and management reporting.
Required Skills:
-
Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and procedures.

Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally ERP/Prime, SAP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks).

Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

High proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis).

Working knowledge of taxation rules (GST, TDS, PT), compliance norms, and e-filing.
Preferred Technical Skills:

Cost Accounting: Able to monitor cost structures, prepare cost sheets, and conduct margin analysis.

Forensic Accounting: Skilled in tracing discrepancies, supporting internal audits, or investigating irregularities.

International Accounting: Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, or handling multi-currency and cross-border financials.

Exposure to MIS reporting, ratio analysis, and financial modeling is a plus.
Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) with specialization in Accounting or Finance.

Candidates with M.Com, CA Inter, or ICWA (CMA) Inter will be preferred.

Certification in Tally ERP, SAP, Excel, or Financial Analysis is advantageous.
