Job Description
- Work experience as an Accountant for minimum 3 years.
- Must have knowledge of TDS Filing and Return, GST Filing and Return, etc
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
- Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
1. Day-to-Day Accounting Operations

Record daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.

Maintain ledgers, journals, and financial documents in a structured manner.

Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
2. Financial Reporting and Documentation
-
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Assist in finalizing accounts and closing books at month-end and year-end.

Prepare and maintain balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and cash flow statements.

Generate reports on expenses, revenues, budget variances, and financial forecasts.
3. Taxation and Compliance
-
Calculate and file monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).

Handle TDS calculations, deductions, and filing of returns (Form 26Q, 24Q, etc.).

Coordinate with auditors and consultants for statutory audits and tax assessments.

Ensure all financial activities comply with applicable laws and accounting standards.
4. Payroll and Salary Management

Assist in payroll processing including salary calculations, deductions, PF, ESI, etc.

Maintain employee expense records and reimbursements.

Support HR in maintaining accurate salary and benefit documentation.
5. Inventory and Asset Management
-
Maintain records of company assets and update depreciation schedules.
-
Monitor inventory movement and update stock ledgers in accounting software.

Reconcile inventory reports with accounts.
6. Budgeting and Internal Controls
-
Assist in the preparation of budgets and cost estimates for departments or projects.
-
Track expenditures and support cost control initiatives.

Implement and monitor internal financial controls and ensure policy adherence.
7. Coordination and Communication
-
Coordinate with external stakeholders such as vendors, customers, banks, and auditors.

Provide financial data to management for strategic decision-making.
-
Support other departments with required accounting data and insights.
