Job Description
We are looking for an Accountant to perform daily accounting tasks. Accountant responsibilities include managing Payables and reimbursements, entering financial transactions, creating invoices, and collection. Ultimately, you will help our Accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.

- Foreign Remittance & Interest Calculation
- Accounts Finalization
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Transactions and Record-Keeping
-
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

Enter financial data into accounting systems and update financial databases in a timely manner.

Reconcile bank statements and ensure that all transactions are recorded appropriately.

Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
2. General Ledger and Bookkeeping
-
Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and ensure the chart of accounts is up to date.

Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Manage intercompany transactions and adjustments if applicable.

Track fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
3. Financial Reporting
-
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

Provide management with detailed reports on the financial status and health of the business.

Support the Finance Manager or CFO in preparing board reports, budgets, and forecasts.

Assist in variance analysis and financial modeling.
4. Taxation and Compliance
-
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and tax laws.

Prepare and file statutory returns such as GST, TDS, VAT, and income tax returns.

Support tax assessments, audits, and respond to queries from government authorities or tax consultants.
5. Audit Support
-
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.

Provide necessary financial documents, reconciliations, and explanations.

Implement recommendations from audit findings for better internal controls.
6. Budgeting and Cost Control
-
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.

Monitor departmental spending and report variances.

Evaluate costs and suggest process efficiencies to optimize financial performance.
7. Payroll and Employee Reimbursements
-
Process monthly payroll, statutory deductions (PF, ESI), and salary disbursements (if applicable).

Review and verify employee claims and reimbursements, ensuring adherence to company policies.
8. Coordination and Support
-
Work closely with the procurement, HR, and operations teams to manage finances related to inventory, payroll, and operational expenses.

Liaise with banks, vendors, consultants, and financial institutions as needed.

Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support for new initiatives or projects.
