Job Description

Position: Accountant

Compensation: 18,000 (P.M.)(Negotiable)

Qualification: B.com or relevant field of study

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

Job Location: Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Key Deliverables:
 Responsible for recording various transactions using Tally such as bank statements, bills, vouchers, etc.

 Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.

 Assist in reviewing expenses, payroll records, and other assigned financial documentation.

 Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.

 Support Account Manager in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.

 Assisted in various accounting projects as needed. Prepare Bank Reconciliation statement.

 Handle bank-related tasks like cheque deposits, cash withdrawals, fixed deposits, and updating KYC documents.

 Collect donation boxes from various stores and update the master sheet accordingly.

 Managed bill collections, followed up with staff for project-related bills.

 Maintained bill registers, Assets issue registers, salary register and other necessary records.

 Monthly bill filing, sorting and helps with audit-related tasks.

 Supervise office Messing-related work, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to established protocols.

 To do asset Management for all the fixed and movable assets of the organisation & maintained the prescribed asset master sheet.

 Prepare, shorting monthly bills and submit hard copy to Partners including: salary statements, salary & rent invoices, monthly reports, reimbursement statement, etc.

Key Skills Required: Here is a list of few skills which will be helpful in the daily functioning as a Accountant:

 Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, specially excel and word.

 Multi-project management skills, adhering to timelines and performing under pressure to achieve the targets.

 Work experience as an Accountant.

 Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

 Hands-on experience with accounting software Tally.

 Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.

 Experience with general ledger functions.

 Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.

 Bachelors/ masters in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.

 Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
