Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Record Keeping:
-
Maintain accurate books of accounts, including ledgers, journals, and supporting documents
-
Record day-to-day financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
-
Reconcile accounts and ensure all financial records are complete and up to date
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
-
Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding receivables
-
Process vendor payments, verify bills, and ensure timely disbursement of dues
-
Reconcile accounts with vendors and clients, and resolve any discrepancies
3. Bank and Cash Management:
-
Prepare and monitor bank reconciliations on a regular basis
-
Maintain petty cash records and ensure cash handling is in accordance with company policy
-
Record and track fund transfers, deposits, and withdrawals
4. Taxation and Compliance:
-
Calculate and file monthly/quarterly GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory filings
-
Assist in preparing documents for income tax filing, audits, and inspections
-
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
5. Payroll Processing:
-
Prepare monthly salary sheets and process payroll for employees
-
Calculate statutory deductions like PF, ESI, TDS, etc.
-
Generate payslips and handle employee reimbursements
6. Budgeting and Financial Planning:
-
Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts in coordination with department heads
-
Monitor actual spending against budgets and highlight variances
-
Analyze cost and revenue trends and recommend improvements
7. Reporting and Analysis:
-
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management
-
Generate profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
-
Assist with financial analysis for decision-making and planning
8. Audit Support:
-
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits
-
Provide necessary documentation and clarifications as required
-
Implement audit recommendations and help improve internal controls
