Job Description
We are looking for an Accountant to perform daily accounting tasks. Accountant responsibilities include managing Payables and reimbursements, entering financial transactions, creating invoices, and collection. Ultimately, you will help our Accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.
Duties:
- Billing & Invoicing
- Payables Management
- Bank Reconciliation
- Petty Cash Management
- Debit Note/Credit Note
- Import/Export Documentation
- Customer Correspondence
- Banking Correspondence
- Foreign Remittance & Interest Calculation
- Accounts Finalization
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Record Keeping:
-
Maintain and update general ledger and financial records on a daily basis.

Ensure accurate posting of financial transactions (invoices, receipts, payments, etc.) in the accounting system.

Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable and perform reconciliations.
2. Financial Reporting:
-
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.

Assist in preparing MIS reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
3. Compliance and Taxation:
-
Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory returns.

Prepare data and documentation for tax audits and internal/external audits.

Keep updated with changes in accounting laws and taxation rules to ensure compliance.
4. Bank and Cash Management:
-
Reconcile bank statements regularly and resolve discrepancies.

Monitor and manage cash flow, petty cash, and fund transfers.

Prepare bank documents related to loans, guarantees, and other financial services.
5. Budgeting and Forecasting:
-
Assist in developing and managing budgets and financial forecasts.

Track actuals versus budget and explain variances to management.

Support cost control and efficiency improvement initiatives.
6. Asset and Inventory Management:
-
Maintain fixed asset registers and handle depreciation calculations.

Collaborate with inventory and procurement teams to ensure accurate stock records.
-
Reconcile physical assets and inventory with accounting records.
7. Internal Controls and Audit Support:

Support internal control implementation and review.

Prepare documentation and reports required for audits.

Liaise with auditors, vendors, and consultants on financial matters.
