Job Description
- Budgeting and forecasting: Accounting executive is responsible for managing event budgets, ensuring accurate financial tracking, and forecasting expenses.
- Invoice management: Accounting executive handle invoice generation, payment processing, and reconciliation.
- Project coordination: Accounting executive collaborate with internal teams (e.g., event planners, vendors) to ensure smooth event execution and adherence to timelines.
- Reporting and tracking: Accounting executive track event performance metrics, prepare reports for management, and provide updates to clients on progress.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Record Keeping and Transactions:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records including ledgers, journals, and vouchers.

Record day-to-day financial transactions such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.

Ensure proper documentation and authorization for all financial entries.

Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable balances regularly.

Process payroll, employee reimbursements, and vendor payments accurately and timely.
2. Preparation of Financial Statements and Reports:

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements.

Prepare reports on financial performance and highlight discrepancies or anomalies.

Support budget preparation and financial forecasting by providing historical financial data and variance analysis.

Generate internal management reports for decision-making and audit purposes.
3. Compliance and Audit Support:

Ensure compliance with local laws, tax regulations, and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).

Prepare and submit statutory returns such as GST, VAT, TDS, or other tax filings.

Coordinate with external auditors during audits by providing requested documents and explanations.

Maintain records for fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and inventory accounting.
4. Cost Control and Expense Management:

Monitor and track expenses against budgets.

Review and verify expense claims and vendor invoices.

Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
5. Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with other departments to gather necessary financial data.

Communicate with vendors, clients, and financial institutions regarding billing, payments, and reconciliations.

Assist in training and guiding junior accounting staff or interns as required.
