Job Summary

An Accounting Officer is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, handling tax compliance, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. The role involves working with invoices, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, and audits to maintain the financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Reporting

Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Analyze financial data to provide insights on budgeting and forecasting.

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable

Process vendor payments, invoices, and reimbursements.
Monitor outstanding balances and ensure timely collections from customers.
Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and supplier accounts.

3. Taxation & Compliance

Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
Assist in tax filings, audits, and regulatory reporting.
Keep up-to-date with financial regulations and accounting standards.

4. Budgeting & Cost Control

Assist in budget preparation and cost management strategies.
Monitor expenses to ensure cost efficiency and financial stability.
Provide reports on financial performance and risk analysis.

5. Audit & Internal Controls

Support internal and external audits by preparing financial records and statements.
Implement financial control measures to prevent fraud and errors.
Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting best practices.

Skills & Competencies Required

✅ Accounting & Financial Knowledge – Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management.
✅ Attention to Detail & Accuracy – Ability to maintain accurate financial records and error-free reports.
✅ Knowledge of Tax & Compliance – Familiarity with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and financial regulations.
✅ Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to analyze financial data for better decision-making.
✅ Proficiency in Accounting Software – Experience with Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems.
✅ Communication & Coordination – Ability to interact with clients, auditors, and financial institutions.
