Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Entry and Record-Keeping:

Enter day-to-day financial transactions into Tally software, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledger accounts, vouchers, and journal entries.

Organize and file physical and digital records such as bills, receipts, and invoices.
2. Invoice and Billing Support:
-
Assist in preparing sales and purchase invoices.
-
Check and match purchase bills with delivery challans and purchase orders.
-
Coordinate with suppliers or vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies.
3. Bank and Cash Transactions:
-
Assist in recording bank transactions, withdrawals, and deposits.
-
Maintain a cash book and assist with daily cash handling and petty cash entries.

Reconcile bank statements with Tally records under the guidance of the senior accountant.
4. Excel-Based Work:
-
Use Microsoft Excel for preparing basic reports like cash flow statements, expense reports, and purchase summaries.

Maintain simple Excel spreadsheets for tracking payments, due amounts, or stock entries.

Use formulas like SUM, IF, VLOOKUP, and basic formatting functions for data organization.
5. GST and Tax Support (if applicable):

Assist in preparing GST reports from Tally.

Maintain records of input tax and output tax.

Help the senior accountant with tax filing data preparation.
6. Coordination and Administrative Support:

Coordinate with the admin, sales, or purchase departments to collect bills, payment details, or supporting documents.

Respond to emails or phone calls related to accounts queries.

Maintain proper documentation and assist with office clerical work related to accounting.
7. Audit and Compliance Support:
-
Help organize financial documents for internal or external audits.

Maintain compliance checklists under guidance.

Ensure timely availability of records for auditors or management review.
