Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounts Executive to join our finance team. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in core accounting functions and contribute to the financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with strong numerical skills and a desire to learn.
Key Responsibilities
· Financial Transaction Management: Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments, into the accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP).
· Accounts Payable & Receivable: Assist with processing vendor invoices, preparing client invoices, and following up on outstanding payments to ensure a healthy cash flow.
· Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
· Financial Reporting Support: Support senior accountants in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
· Audit & Compliance Assistance: Help gather necessary documentation and information for internal and external audits and ensure all financial activities comply with relevant regulations (e.g., GST, TDS filings in India).
· Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation for all transactions.
· Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to obtain financial data and ensure accurate reporting and alignment of financial processes.
Qualifications and Skills
· Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce (B.Com), or a related field is required.
· Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP/IND AS).
· Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (knowledge of functions like VLOOKUP and pivot tables is a plus), and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally).
· Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
· Analytical Skills: Good numerical and problem-solving abilities.
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
