Job Description
About the internship
Selected day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Enter data into Tally for sales, purchases, receipts, payments; prepare debtors/creditors statements and process bills as directed by manager accounts
2. Update accounts receivable and prepare proforma invoices to send to clients & raise tax invoices after receipt of funds in the bank
3. Raise purchase invoices in books of accounts as directed for the artwork purchased from artists
4. Prepare documents and set up for RTGS, prepare cheques to make payments, and ensure timely updation of cash/bank books
5. Record TDS entries in TDS plus software to aid filing of returns and prepare documents for filing of various returns
6. Assist manager accounts in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings and maintain accounting records, copies, files, documents, etc
7. Coordinate with internal team across various functions (e.g. sales assistant, sales & marketing managers, gallery manager, artist liaisons, etc.) to get inputs, information & documents for timely booking of invoices, providing payments status for clients and vendors
8. Get trained on relevant areas of preparation of MIS reports, GST Reporting, new accounting standards, etc. by manager accounts to keep abreast of developments within own functional domain
