Overview
An Accounts Manager plays a vital role in managing and overseeing the financial health of the organization. Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management

Monitor cash flows, accounts payable, and receivable to ensure financial stability.

Handle bank reconciliations, vendor payments, and employee reimbursements.

Ensure timely processing of invoices, bills, and payroll.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting

Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts in consultation with senior management.

Monitor actual performance against budgets and highlight variances.

Provide recommendations to optimize costs and improve profitability.

Support management in strategic planning with financial insights.
3. Compliance and Audit

Ensure compliance with statutory laws, taxation policies, and financial regulations.

Prepare necessary documents for audits and coordinate with internal/external auditors.

File GST, TDS, income tax returns, and other statutory reports within deadlines.

Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, taxation rules, and financial policies.
4. Team Leadership and Coordination

Supervise and guide junior accountants, clerks, and finance executives.

Allocate tasks, review work, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Provide training and mentoring to team members on accounting systems and processes.

Collaborate with other departments like sales, procurement, HR, and operations for smooth financial management.
5. Reporting and Analysis

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.

Conduct variance analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and profitability studies.

Provide insights on financial performance to assist decision-making.

Support senior management in investor presentations and board meetings.
6. Technology and Process Improvement

Implement and manage accounting software such as Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or Oracle.

Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency.

Suggest process improvements to strengthen internal controls and reduce errors.

Ensure proper data security and confidentiality of financial records.
