Job Description
We are looking for an Accounts or Audit Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks. Accounts or Audit Assistant responsibilities include transaction entry in the books of accounts, Filing GST,TDS returns, Finalization of accounts and Audit of accounts. Working knowledge of Tally, GST Returns and TDS returns is must.
Duties:
- Maintaining Accounts
- Filing GST Return
- Bank Reconciliation
- Filing TDS Returns
- Debit Note/Credit Note
- Accounts Finalization
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Assistant Duties:

Bookkeeping & Data Entry
-
Record day-to-day financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Zoho).

Post journal entries, bank entries, and reconcile ledgers.
-
Maintain records of income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.

Accounts Payable & Receivable
-
Process invoices, monitor payments, and assist with vendor/client communication.
-
Track outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments.

Reconcile vendor and customer accounts periodically.
-

Bank Reconciliation & Cash Management
-
Assist in reconciling bank statements with internal financial records.
-
Monitor daily cash flow and prepare petty cash summaries.

Support preparation of payment vouchers and cheques.

Financial Reporting Support
-
Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly management reports.
-
Help with closing books at month-end and year-end.
-
Support documentation for tax filings, GST, TDS, and statutory returns.

Audit Assistant Duties:

Audit Preparation & Planning
-
Assist audit seniors/managers in gathering background information about clients.
-
Review financial records, supporting documents, and accounting policies.
-
Help prepare audit checklists, schedules, and planning documents.
-

Fieldwork & Testing
-
Perform sample testing of transactions such as sales, purchases, payroll, and inventory.
-
Verify accuracy, authenticity, and compliance of financial records.
-
Examine internal controls and document findings.
-

Documentation & Reporting
-
Maintain audit working papers in an organized and secure manner.
-
Prepare audit notes and summaries for review by senior auditors.

Help draft audit reports, observations, and recommendations.

Client Interaction
-
Assist in collecting documents from clients and following up on audit queries.

Ensure timely communication and adherence to audit timelines.
-
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism during client interactions.
