Key Responsibilities:
1. Assisting in Financial Record-Keeping:
-
Record financial transactions such as purchases, sales, receipts, and payments into accounting systems.

Ensure that financial data is entered accurately and in compliance with the company’s accounting policies.

Maintain organized files and documentation for audit and internal review purposes.
2. Invoice and Billing Support:
-
Assist in preparing customer invoices and ensuring timely billing.
-
Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts.
-
Help verify, process, and record accounts payable and receivable transactions.
3. Bank and Ledger Reconciliation:
-
Support the reconciliation of bank statements with internal records to identify discrepancies.
-
Reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers on a regular basis.
-
Assist in reviewing balances to ensure accuracy of accounts.
4. Assisting with Financial Reports:
-
Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and summaries.
-
Generate basic reports such as trial balances, cash flow summaries, and account statements.
-
Assist in the preparation of tax filings, audits, and compliance documentation under supervision.
5. Supporting Month-End and Year-End Processes:
-
Help the finance team close the books at the end of the month or fiscal year.

Ensure all transactions for the period are accounted for and recorded correctly.

Assist in compiling data for internal and external audits.
6. Data Entry and Software Use:
-
Enter data into accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, or MS Excel.

Maintain spreadsheets and databases for tracking expenses, budgets, and inventory.
-
Learn and utilize accounting software tools efficiently and responsibly.
7. Administrative Support:
-
Provide general administrative support to the finance or accounts department.
-
Organize and archive financial documents such as receipts, reports, and payment vouchers.
-
Assist in responding to internal and external queries related to financial data.
