  • The Times of India Group is looking for dynamic young Fresher graduates with an inclination to build career in the Media Industry in field of Advertisement Sales and Space Selling.
  • The candidate will be based out of field and will source for an assigned product by meeting direct clients and agencies.
  • This will be a 100% field job and will require frequent travel within the assigned area. 
  • The job is 100% target based with a prospect to be a part of the core team in a span of 2 years. 
So, what will I actually be doing?

Your role will vary according to the nature of your business. However, your day-to-day tasks are likely to include:

  • Persuading clients to buy advertising space.
  • Finding out who controls the advertising budget in target organisations and contacting them.
  • Explaining the benefits of your medium, using statistics on readership or viewing figures.
  • Offering a price and negotiating around it.
  • Closing the deal and recording the details.
  • Academic qualifications are less important than attitude and ability, and there are no minimum requirements.
  • If you've been involved with university activities or have relevant work experience so much the better.

For a career in advertising sales with The Times of India, you'll need:

  • Communication skills (General English and Local Language - not accent driven)
  • A good telephone manner (A pleasant telephonic voice)
  • Persuasive ability
  • Confidence and an outgoing personality
  • The ability to build relationships with customers
