Job Description
- The Times of India Group is looking for dynamic young Fresher graduates with an inclination to build career in the Media Industry in field of Advertisement Sales and Space Selling.
- The candidate will be based out of field and will source for an assigned product by meeting direct clients and agencies.
- This will be a 100% field job and will require frequent travel within the assigned area.
- The job is 100% target based with a prospect to be a part of the core team in a span of 2 years.
Your role will vary according to the nature of your business. However, your day-to-day tasks are likely to include:
- Persuading clients to buy advertising space.
- Finding out who controls the advertising budget in target organisations and contacting them.
- Explaining the benefits of your medium, using statistics on readership or viewing figures.
- Offering a price and negotiating around it.
- Closing the deal and recording the details.
- Academic qualifications are less important than attitude and ability, and there are no minimum requirements.
- If you've been involved with university activities or have relevant work experience so much the better.
For a career in advertising sales with The Times of India, you'll need:
- Communication skills (General English and Local Language - not accent driven)
- A good telephone manner (A pleasant telephonic voice)
- Persuasive ability
- Confidence and an outgoing personality
- The ability to build relationships with customers
- Diplomacy and patience
- The ability to work under pressure and meet targets
- Be good with numbers
- A team man.
