Job Description

Communication & Social Media Officer

  • It is a full time job for fund raising that supports an NGO/Trust working for the care and protection of under privileged children who are being protected in an orphanage at Athipattu, Chennai. The position required to take lead in documentation, donor communication and reach out maximum audience through social- media plat form.
  • We are looking for smart candidate having good experience and understanding about developmental sector. 
  • The candidate who have experience in online fund raising will be given priority. The candidate is expected to have fluency in both English and Tamil. Working knowledge in other Indian language is desirable.
Minimum qualification and requirement:

  • Graduate/post graduate  in software with latest skill and have expert  in internet, social media communication
  • Graduate/post graduate in any computer/social science /public administration
  • Experience in online fund generation/crowd funding and other latest tools for resource mobilization from national and international community/trust/organizations etc.
  • Good command in English, Tamil and Hindi.
  • Expert in donor communication and corporate linkage
  • Prepare reports meeting international standards who is comfortable in exploring and make use of the latest communication tools
  • Develop IEC materials for the organization
  • Update the work and activities of the organization to website, social media platforms and any share with any appropriate links
  • Coordinate and support HR, finance management and office administration of the organization
Roles & Responsibilities of the position:
  • Timely updating the website and social media communications.
  • Explore the online fund raising plat forms and develop proposal and do follow up.
  • Take lead in corporate and donor communications.
  • Consolidate & develop and data back for the existing individual donors.
  • Mapping the Funding organization/trusts with in the country and abroad.
  • Net working with the funding agency and take up appropriate intervention for resource support.
  • Develop Volunteer management strategy & protocol for engaging volunteers from the country and international level.
  • Nurture existing relationships and constantly expand current network of donors by tapping into local Organizations, Foundations, HNI's and foreign corporations.
  • Meet and develop network with educational institutions and other organizations.
  • Communicate with stakeholders – Internal and External – of the organization, build relationships and take forward.
  • Day to day finance management of office and support HR.
