Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and data-driven Ads Consultant - Amazon to manage and optimize advertising campaigns on the Amazon marketplace. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Amazon's advertising ecosystem, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and Amazon DSP (Demand Side Platform).
As an Amazon Ads Consultant, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize product visibility, drive relevant traffic, increase conversions, and ultimately improve Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) for our product listings. You will collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to align campaigns with business objectives and ensure ongoing optimization based on data insights.
This role is perfect for professionals with hands-on experience managing Amazon PPC and AMS platforms, especially those who stay updated with Amazon algorithm changes and ad innovations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Amazon Ads Strategy & Campaign Planning:

Design and implement data-backed Amazon advertising strategies to support business growth across multiple product categories.

Create and manage structured campaigns for Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and Amazon DSP (if applicable).

Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify bidding opportunities, target keywords, and new campaign angles.

Align advertising goals with organic ranking, inventory planning, and sales velocity objectives.
2. Campaign Execution & Optimization:

Set up manual and automatic campaigns, segment by match types, and structure ad groups for optimal performance.

Monitor daily spend, CPC (cost-per-click), CTR (click-through rate), ACoS (Advertising Cost of Sale), and ROAS.

Perform ongoing keyword harvesting, bid adjustments, negative keyword insertion, and search term optimization.

Regularly split-test ad creatives, headlines, targeting options, and landing page performance.
3. Reporting and Analytics:

Generate weekly and monthly ad performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations.

Use Amazon Advertising Console, Brand Analytics, and external tools like Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or Perpetua to extract trends and optimize ROI.

Track conversions, attributed sales, and click behavior across campaigns.

Present results clearly to internal stakeholders or clients and suggest next steps.
4. A/B Testing and Experimentation:

Run controlled A/B tests on ad placements, creatives, and targeting to improve campaign performance.

Experiment with dayparting (time-based bidding), product grouping, and audience retargeting to uncover performance patterns.

Optimize product detail pages (PDPs) for higher conversions as part of the ad funnel strategy.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with product listing and catalog teams to ensure listings are fully optimized for ad relevance.

Coordinate with the inventory and logistics teams to ensure ads are not driving traffic to out-of-stock or low-stock items.

Provide feedback to design teams for creating compelling ad banners, brand store assets, and A+ content aligned with ad goals.
