Position: Advanced Steel Designer/Engineer
Work Location: Chennai
Experience Level: 3 to 7 years
Contract Duration: 1 years(extendable)
Educational Qualification: Any Degree or Diploma or ITI
Job Description:
The job involves proficiency in modelling of equipment, structure and piping in 3D environment (CADWorx / AutoCAD Plant 3D) and preparation of fabrication drawings in 2D environment (AutoCAD). Preparing and reviewing Equipment layout, General arrangement drawing, detail fabrication drawings, piping isometric drawings and MTO. The ideal candidate should have knowledge in materials, Piping specifications, welding symbols, etc.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
o 3D modelling of equipment, piping using CADWorx / AutoCAD Plant 3D / Advance Steel
o Reviewing the P&ID and coordinating with package engineer to finalizes
o Preparing the Line list and equipment list
o Preparation of Piping BOM and Review
o Preparation of General Arrangement drawings for Package & Equipment
o Preparation of Tank Fabrication drawings
o Preparation of Structural GA & Fabrication drawings including connection details, etc.
o Preparation of Lifting arrangement drawings
o Preparation of Foundation load drawings
o Isometric Drawing extraction using CADWorx / AutoCAD plant 3D
o Preparation of Layout drawings
o Preparation of Cutting Layout drawing
o Preparation of BOMâs / MTOâs for Piping, Equipment, Structure, Valves etc.
o Familiarity with Preparation of GA and Detail drawings for Well head control panels, Modular packages, etc. will be an advantage
o As built Mark-ups and updating CAD drawings for final issue
o Attending shop floor issues during fabrication
o Preparation of Piping GAs, Isometrics, MTO, etc.
o Experience in vendor drawing review/commenting will be preferred
o Experience in engineering drawings checking/commenting will be an advantage.
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / ITI with good academic record.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
o 3 - 6 years of experience in 3D modelling works, detailing of tank / vessel, structural parts, etc.
o Should have knowledge in materials, Piping specifications, welding symbols, etc.
o Experience in Oil & Gas industry highly preferred.
o Good experience in CADWorx / AutoCAD Plant 3D / Advance Steel
o Good experience in AutoCAD
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
o Strong knowledge in Plant 3D software (CADWORX / PDMS / Advance Steel or equiv)
o Strong knowledge in 2D software (AutoCAD / Microstation or equiv)
o Good at usage of MS office
o Familiarity in SAP (Preferred)
