Agrometeorologist  job opportunities in Uttar Banga Krishi Vishwavidyalaya on contract basis

Qualification :  Post Graduate degree in Agrometeorology/Agronomy/Ag. Physics from a recognized University / Institution with aggregate of 55% marks. Reading and writing ability in local language. *Preference will be given to candidates with Agrometeorology qualification.

Desirable :  1. Doctoral degree (at least Ph.D. thesis submitted) and/or NET in the relevant subject/field. 2. Knowledge/ experience in Computer/Meteorological data processing. 3. Experience on research and extension oriented project or programme at Farmers’ level

Scale of Pay :  Rs 15,600- 39,100 + GP Rs. 6,000 with DA and HRA as applicable for Govt. of India Engagement is contractual basis on year-to-year performance review and shall be co- terminus with the GKMS scheme.

Age Limit :  40 years, relaxation of age for 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates shall be made as per Govt. rules. However, the age limit is not applicable for the persons who are already in service in a regular establishment under Government/other recognized institutions or universities.

Application Fee :  A non-refundable application fee of Rs.1,000/- for UR and OBC candidates (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST candidates) should be paid by A/c Payee Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya”, payable at Cooch Behar. On the top of the envelope containing the application, write the words “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ……………UNDER GKMS” in block letters.
