EssentialQualification: Graduate in Microbiology/Medical Lab Technology/ Molecular biology from a recognized university with three years relevant experience from a recognized institution OR Master’s degree in Microbiology/Medical Lab Technology/ Molecular biology
Desirable Qualification/ Experience: Experience of work in a Clinical Microbiology Laboratory at a Recognized Teaching Hospital/ Medical Research Institution Knowledge of computer applications Experience with PCR machine
Emoluments 31000/- per month (Consolidated)
Nature of Duties: Coordinating with other project staff to ensure appropriate and timely sample collection, testing and providing laboratory results within stipulated time lines. Perform clinical specimen (CSF, Blood and other sterile body fluids, NP Swabs etc.) processing for point of care testing, bacteriological culture and identification, AST, PCR etc. as may be applicable/ required for the project. Appropriate storage and shipment of specimens to designated laboratory. Participating in EQAS and ensuring high quality of the lab work in the project. Assisting the Investigators in laboratory research activities relating to the project. Any other duty assigned by the Site Investigator /Co-Site Investigator/
Supervisory officer from time to time
Duration: 12 months or for project duration if less than 12 months (Renewable for the project duration subject to performance and project requirement)
Age Concession: Age relaxation is admissible in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates, Retrenched Government Employees, Departmental Candidates (including projects), and exservicemen in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time. Age concession to the extent of services rendered in the research projects will also be admissible for experienced and skilled persons
Self-attested photocopies of proof of date of birth (class 10th certificate/ school leaving certificate), eligibility qualification mark-sheets, degrees, experience certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), qualifying degree registration with statutory council (if applicable) and other relevant testimonials.
