Job Description
1. Job involves painting aircraft using spray guns, brushes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Surface Preparation:

Clean, sand, and mask aircraft surfaces in preparation for painting.

Remove old paint, corrosion, or contaminants using chemical strippers, sanders, or abrasives.

Apply etching primers or corrosion-resistant coatings as required.
2. Painting and Finishing:
-
Mix, match, and apply paint systems according to manufacturer specifications and color schemes.

Use spray guns and other tools to apply primer, base coats, topcoats, and clear coats.

Paint aircraft markings, logos, or decals accurately using stencils or masking.
3. Inspection and Quality Control:
-
Conduct visual and tactile inspections to ensure smooth finishes, uniform coverage, and no defects (e.g., drips, bubbles, or overspray).

Report and correct imperfections or inconsistencies in the paint job.

Coordinate with Quality Control for final inspection and documentation.
4. Maintenance and Touch-Ups:

Perform touch-up painting or spot repairs on aircraft in service or undergoing maintenance.

Refinish aircraft parts, panels, and components as needed.

Maintain detailed logs of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
5. Equipment and Material Handling:
-
Properly handle, clean, and store painting tools and equipment.

Mix and store hazardous materials (e.g., thinners, primers, and paints) according to safety protocols.

Dispose of waste materials in accordance with environmental and regulatory standards.
6. Compliance and Safety:

Follow safety procedures related to paint application, ventilation, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and hazardous materials.

Adhere to aviation regulatory standards (e.g., FAA, EASA, DGCA) and company SOPs.

Work in compliance with aircraft maintenance manuals and technical data.
