Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Airport Heavy Vehicle Driver to join our ground transportation team. As an Airport Heavy Vehicle Driver, you will be responsible for operating specialized vehicles to transport passengers, crew, and airport personnel within the airport premises. Your primary objective will be to ensure the safe and efficient movement of individuals and equipment while adhering to airport regulations and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy vehicles such as buses, passenger vans, baggage tugs, and other ground support equipment within the airport

Transport passengers, airline crew, and airport personnel to and from terminals, aircraft, parking areas, and other designated locations

Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking vehicles safely and courteously

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with maintenance standards

Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely arrivals and departures

Communicate effectively with dispatchers, airline personnel, and other drivers to coordinate vehicle movements and passenger pickups

Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, including interior and exterior surfaces

Adhere to airport security regulations and procedures, including required background checks and badge requirements

Provide assistance during emergencies or incidents as directed by airport authorities or supervisors

Report any vehicle malfunctions, incidents, or safety hazards immediately to management

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating heavy vehicles

Previous experience driving heavy vehicles, preferably in an airport, transportation, or similar environment

Knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safe driving practices

Ability to operate vehicles safely in varying weather conditions and in congested airport environments

Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with passengers and airport personnel

Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical ability to sit for extended periods, lift and carry luggage, and perform routine vehicle inspections
