Job Description
Title: Analyst, IT Operations - Database -Hyderabad
Related Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s in related curriculum such as Information Systems with 5+ years’ experience in to Microsoft SQL server administrator /Oracle database server and high-availability environments
SKILLS REQUIRED
Include demonstrated competencies and physical, mental, & interpersonal skills
• A completed Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related curriculum.
• Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
• Strong understanding of database, architecture and design of complex globally dispersed distributed database systems.
• Thorough understanding Microsoft SQL Server versions 2017, 2016, 2012 and 2008.
• Experience with both Enterprise and Standard editions on SQL Server.
• Strong expertise in database, backup and storage technologies such as NetBackup and Data Domain.
• Understanding of database management within a virtualized server environment.
• Experience with the components of SQL Server such as MDS, SSIS, Always On, Analysis Services and Reporting Services.
• Thorough understanding of backup and restore operations within SQL Server.
• Excellent customer service skills - ability to resolve escalated customer issues in a timely manner.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation that includes off hour and weekend tasks.
• Proven time-management skills – ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a highly reactive environment.
• Exposure to other database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and AWS a plus.
• Experience in transitioning from Oracle to SQL Server a plus.
• ITIL Service Management Essentials or Foundation certified a plus.
