Android application developer Job in Bits TechLab at Ahmedabad

We are hiring Android developers who will be responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse Android devices. Candidates will be involved in the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services.

      

      Responsibilities and Duties

• Optimize existing code and implement new functionalities for the mobile application.
• Write maintainable high-performance code in Java / Kotlin.
• Work on fixing bugs, memory leaks, and improving the overall application performance.
• Experience with unit testing

      Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Expert level knowledge of Java / Kotlin, Android SDK, Gradle, Git and proficient in Android Studio and other tools

• Experience in Transportation Application
• Extensive understanding of Android framework components and their respective lifecycles (activity, fragments, service, etc.)
• Knowledge of open-source Android ecosystem, libraries, design patterns and architecture
• Experience with RESTful APIs (parsing JSON and XML) to communicate with backend services.
• Good understanding of SQLite database, data modeling and local database management.
• Must have hands on experience on Google API (Map, G+, etc.) integration knowledge.
• Firebase, notifications, and related services
