Subject: Filling up of the positions of Application Developer (Java/J2EE) and UI Designer (Full Stack Developer), Digital India Corporation on Contractual basis.

1. Digital India Corporation has been set up by the ‘Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India’, to innovate, develop and deploy ICT and other emerging technologies for the benefit of the common man. It is a ‘not for profit’ Company under Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013. The Company has been spearheading the Digital India programme of the Government of India, and is involved in promoting use of technology for e-Governance/e-Health / Telemedicine, e-agriculture, e-Payments etc.

a. The Digital India programme promotes safety and security concerns of growing cashless economy and addresses challenges confronting its wider acceptance. It also promotes innovation and evolves models for empowerment of citizens through Digital initiatives and promotes participatory governance and citizen engagement across the government through various platforms including social media.

Digital India Corporation is currently inviting applications for the following positions purely on Contract Basis/Consolidated salary under the project „Design, Development and Deployment of Interactive Mobile Enabled Centralized Remote Eye Care Delivery System‟ jointly with PBMA' s H.V. Desai Specialty Eye Hospital, Pune

6. Qualification & Experience:  BE / B. Tech / MCA / M.Sc.(IT/CS) in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering/ Mobile Computing with relevant post-qualification experience.

9. These positions are purely on contract appointment basis covering the fixed project duration and on consolidated salary . The place of posting shall be Pune but transferable to project locations of Digital India Corporation as per existing policy of Digital India Corporation.

11. Role and Responsibilities

a. Write clean, responsive, and scalable code to make websites and applications function. Participation in understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards. Planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units.

b. Web Applications/Services development using programming languages such as Java/J2EE, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, REST, SOAP, and API's. Interact with team members and to prepare usable documentation throughout the development cycle

12. Required Skill Set

a. Experience in HTML/XHTML, Java/J2EE, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery Experience in Server Architecture. Experience with server-side frameworks such as python, ruby, php, Java, etc.

b. Experience with database systems such as My SQL and Oracle

c. Excellent in Web Programming Skills, Cross-browser Compatibility, Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design, Web Services (REST/SOAP), Multimedia Content Development, API's

13. Desirable Skill Set

a. Solid knowledge and experience in programming applications. Proficient in Java/J2EE, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, My SQL etc.

b. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Solid ability in both written and verbal communication. Knowledge of programming language and technical terminology.
