Job Summary
The MEP Trainee / Apprentice Engineer will support the execution, coordination, and supervision of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services for high-rise residential projects. The role offers hands-on site exposure, practical learning under senior engineers, and a strong foundation in MEP execution, quality control, and coordination.
Core Daily Tasks & Responsibilities
1. Site Execution Support
Assist senior MEP engineers in day-to-day site activities for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and ELV systems.
Monitor installation works as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
Ensure proper routing, alignment, and fixing of MEP services in coordination with civil and finishing works.
2. Coordination & Interface Management
Coordinate with civil, architectural, and structural teams to avoid clashes and ensure smooth execution.
Support contractor coordination meetings and follow up on action points.
Assist in coordinating with MEP subcontractors and vendors on-site.
3. Drawings & Documentation
Help in reviewing shop drawings, layout drawings, and schematic diagrams.
Maintain site records including daily progress reports, checklists, and inspection logs.
Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and handover documentation.
4. Quality & Safety Compliance
Ensure MEP works are executed as per approved quality standards and safety norms.
Assist in inspections, testing, and commissioning activities of MEP systems.
Report non-conformities and support corrective actions under guidance.
5. Material Management
Assist in material quantity checks, delivery inspections, and storage monitoring.
Support in tracking material consumption and coordinating timely availability.
6. Testing & Commissioning Support
Assist in testing of electrical panels, pumps, fire systems, HVAC equipment, and plumbing systems.
Support commissioning engineers during system trials and snag rectifications.
Educational Qualification
B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering
Fresh graduates preferred (2023–2025 pass-outs)
Key Skills & Competencies
Basic understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting)
Ability to read basic engineering drawings
Willingness to work on construction sites
Good coordination and communication skills
MS Excel, AutoCAD (basic knowledge preferred)
Strong learning attitude and attention to detail
Stipend / Compensation
As per Apprenticeship Scheme or Company Policy
Typical range: 23000 Per month.
