Job Summary:
We are hiring motivated and detail-oriented AR Caller to join our Accounts Receivable team. As an AR Caller, you will be responsible for following up with insurance companies in the U.S. regarding pending claims, denials, or underpayments. You will analyze claims, make outbound calls to payers, and take necessary action to ensure timely reimbursement for healthcare services provided.
This role is essential for maintaining healthy cash flow and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Strong communication skills, analytical ability, and knowledge of the U.S. healthcare billing cycle are key for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Insurance Follow-Up:

Make outbound calls to insurance companies (payers) in the U.S. to follow up on outstanding claims.

Understand the reason for denials or delays in payment and take appropriate action.

Initiate appeals, resubmissions, or corrections as needed based on payer feedback.
2. Claims Analysis:

Review and analyze unpaid or underpaid claims using the billing system and payer websites.

Categorize claims based on aging reports (30, 60, 90+ days) and prioritize accordingly.

Identify and escalate issues causing recurring denials or rejections.
3. Documentation and Reporting:

Update claim status and notes accurately in the billing software/EMR/CRM system.

Maintain detailed records of calls, outcomes, and actions taken.

Prepare and submit daily or weekly performance reports to the team lead or manager.
4. Compliance and Coordination:

Follow HIPAA regulations and company policies during all communications.

Collaborate with the billing team, coders, and other departments to resolve claim issues.

Maintain productivity and quality standards as set by the organization.
Required Skills & Competencies:

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English

Good understanding of U.S. healthcare terms such as CPT, ICD, modifiers, EOB, ERA, etc.

Knowledge of insurance follow-up procedures, denials, and AR workflows

Familiarity with healthcare billing software (e.g., EPIC, Kareo, AdvancedMD, Athena, etc.)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Comfortable working in night shifts (due to U.S. time zones)
