Job Description
Job Summary:
The Architect - Intern / Junior will assist in the development of architectural designs, presentations, and documentation for ongoing and upcoming projects. The role requires close collaboration with senior architects, consultants, and the visualization team to deliver innovative and accurate design solutions. Ideal candidates should be proficient in industry-standard software, possess strong design sensibility, and be eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This position offers excellent exposure to real-time projects and mentorship under experienced architects, making it a great opportunity for those at the beginning of their architectural career.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design Development

Support the architectural team in conceptualizing and developing schematic designs.

Prepare design presentations using software tools like SketchUp, Lumion, V-Ray, Photoshop, and Enscape.

Assist in refining spatial layouts, facades, elevations, and interior concepts based on project briefs.

Explore innovative and sustainable design approaches aligned with IPAAC's design philosophy.
2. Drafting and Documentation

Produce accurate 2D drawings using AutoCAD, including plans, sections, elevations, and detailed working drawings.

Assist in preparing architectural documentation packages for planning submissions and construction purposes.

Help maintain drawing sets and ensure they are up-to-date and comply with project requirements.
3. 3D Modeling and Visualization

Develop 3D models using SketchUp and prepare photorealistic renders with Lumion or V-Ray.

Create visualizations and presentation boards for internal reviews and client meetings.

Collaborate with the visualization team to meet deadlines and enhance visual quality.
4. Project Support and Coordination

Participate in team meetings, design reviews, and brainstorming sessions.

Coordinate with team members and consultants to ensure smooth project workflow.

Assist with materials research, sample coordination, and basic vendor interactions.
5. Communication and Presentation

Prepare clear and professional presentation layouts and design documents.

Communicate ideas effectively through sketches, diagrams, and digital tools.

Present design options during internal reviews or client meetings (as applicable).
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch.) or currently pursuing final year of B.Arch.

Candidates applying for internships should be in their 8th–10th semester.

Software Proficiency:

Essential: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, V-Ray, Enscape, Photoshop

Preferred: Revit, Illustrator, InDesign, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
