a) To be responsible for closely monitor the market /customers of the assigned geography to understand their requirement , issues , purchase behaviour and project and update long and short term requirements on products , packaging , placement , pricing and promotion- both for consumer as well as trade across product portfolio .
b) Be vigilant and collect information about competitors, their strength /weaknesses, monitor their activities and plans, share with top management and formulate counter plans /strategies in the assigned geography.
c) Develop and implement suitable sales , distribution and promotional strategy for the products keeping in view of the organisational sales and distribution objectives ( 10 % market share )
d) Responsible for preparing and implementing sales and sales promotional budget and its’ utilisation and control – Yearly, Monthly.
e) Develop effective pricing strategy in consultation with the top management to improve the market share as well as realisation of the organisation.
f) Responsible for selecting a suitable and cost effective promotional and PR agency to handle promotion and local consumer awareness drive.
g) Initiate a customer feedback cell to build a system for customer relationship management
h) Keep track of all competitor activities and suggest and implement strategies to protect and expand market share
i) Identifies sales targets for the various territories under the assigned geography and ensure their time bound compliances.
j) Explore different ways of distribution for greater market penetration and strengthen as well as expand the existing distribution system across institutions, MFS (modern format stores),HORECA (Hotel, restaurants, caterers) and retail cum wholesale distribution.
k) Plan and execute agency selling across all levels to ensure set up of proper distribution network in line with the sales and distribution objective.
l) Ensure smooth logistics and coordinate with other functional heads for facilitating market operation and get consumer grievances timely redressed.
m) Provide necessary help to MIS and developing proper MIS and reporting system.
n) Responsible for sales administration activities for the sales team working in the assigned geography.o) Responsible for manpower planning, identifying training needs, Skill development among team members, mentoring the team members, appraisals, allocation of job responsibilities of the sales team working in the geography
