Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Area Sales Manager to lead concept sales in the jewellery sector, with a focus on planning and executing promotional stalls, generating and following up on leads, closing orders, ensuring timely payment collection, and appointing and managing subordinates or sales representatives. The role involves day-to-day reporting, achieving sales targets, managing the area sales budget, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners.
This is a field-intensive role requiring excellent communication, team management, planning, and sales execution abilities. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in jewellery or luxury product sales, and a strong network in the assigned area.
Key Responsibilities
1. Concept Sales and Promotion

Develop and execute concept-based sales strategies for jewellery, including theme-based product presentations.

Set up promotional stalls and kiosks in malls, exhibitions, retail outlets, or special events to attract potential buyers.

Organize product display, branding material, lighting, and staffing at these stalls for maximum impact.
2. Lead Generation and Follow-up

Identify potential clients through exhibitions, referrals, local marketing, and existing databases.

Follow up diligently with all leads generated through stalls, events, or online campaigns.

Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline across the assigned area.
3. Order Closing and Customer Handling

Present jewellery concepts and collections effectively to clients, addressing their preferences and needs.

Negotiate pricing, order quantities, and delivery timelines.

Ensure timely closing of orders and confirm all details in coordination with the office.
4. Payment Collection and Coordination

Follow up with customers for timely payment collections as per agreed terms.

Resolve billing or payment-related disputes, coordinating with the accounts team if required.

Maintain proper records of payments collected and outstanding dues.
5. Team Building and Subordinate Management

Identify and appoint capable sales executives or promoters to assist in field and stall sales.

Train, guide, and monitor subordinates to ensure professionalism, product knowledge, and sales performance.

Allocate responsibilities based on skills and area demand, and supervise performance regularly.
6. Target Achievement and Budget Monitoring

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the designated area.

Plan and execute sales activities within the approved budget for marketing, events, and operations.

Track ROI of stalls, events, and promotional activities.
7. Reporting and Coordination

Maintain daily sales reports, client interaction logs, and lead follow-up sheets.

Report sales performance, market feedback, and competitor activity daily to the manager and head office.

Coordinate with product, logistics, marketing, and finance teams for smooth order fulfillment.
