Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the sales department while ensuring high customers’ satisfaction. Manage fiscal & operational activities efficiently within the department while organizing & supervising all service activities in dealer coverage area according to company guidelines.
Key Tasks/ Responsibilities / Authorities:
o Achieve monthly set target sales.
o Develop territory to maximum potential for customers and company
o Promote and maintain positive long term customer relationships in product support
- Develop a good relationship with customer to understand their business needs from technical and economical perspective
o Coverage of the specified customers in a manner defined by the company
- Perform regular customer visits and prospect generation
- Call reports are completed as specified by company standards and ensure timely submission of call reports
o Develop customer profile database and maintain all required reports regarding the customers in the sales territory
- Population records with customer demographic information (name, address, email etc) and purchases in parts, service sales and rentals, special attachments (model & s/n), machines in use and their hours of use per year
- Develop, identify and quantify new customers
- Assess customer buying habits
o Develop and maintain competitive analysis program (including “OEM distributors” and “independent contractors” to understand customer buying habits from competitors
o Monitor customer retention, develop and coordinate “customer loyalty” programs that will increase the frequency of purchase and the volume
o Develop, perform and coordinate market and opinion surveys to assess necessary information such as company sales and market position, customer satisfaction and requirements
o Assist in coordination of service work and advise customers on parts and service matters, and dealing with equipment breakdowns, malfunctions, emergency parts orders and deliveries
o Completes all reporting requirements as directed in a timely manner
o Performs other duties assigned by his supervisor
o Performance of the responsibilities as set forth in the job description and the dealership’s return on investment
Required knowledge & experience:
Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
o Preferred degree OR diploma in mechanical OR electrical field
o Minimum of 3 (three) years’ experience related to similar industries, preferably from construction equipment dealership
o Commercially and business focus, target driven and “self-going” initiator skills
o Strong customer orientation and marketing understanding
o Good understanding of financial and pricing principles and discounting effects
o A good working knowledge of sales techniques and methodologies
o A good knowledge of marketing statistical techniques
o Must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, medical test or other tests as so required for employment
