Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Prototype Development: Creating and managing prototype parts for new vehicles, products, or software features.
Technical Analysis: Studying technical drawings (blueprints, CAD) to understand product requirements and functions.
Supplier/Vendor Management: Sourcing parts, coordinating with external suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery.
Quality Control: Inspecting proto parts, coordinating with plant quality teams, and troubleshooting defects.
Project Coordination: Working with design, testing, and manufacturing teams to meet project schedules.
Problem Solving: Resolving technical issues with machinery, product designs, and tooling.
Typical Skills & Requirements
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit), strong understanding of materials, fabrication (sheet metal, welding), GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, analytical skills, collaboration, attention to detail, and a customer-centric mindset.
Experience: Background in automotive/OEM, engineering, or a related technical field is often required.
