Job Description
- Applicant must have basic live sound experience.
- Must support with cabling & equipment maintenance.
- Must assist with equipment loading/unloading.

Key Responsibilities:

Setup and Preparation:

Assist in setting up microphones, speakers, mixers, amplifiers, and other audio equipment according to the audio plan.

Run cables, connect audio interfaces, and organize equipment for efficient operation.

Help position microphones and monitors to optimize sound quality for performers and audiences.
-
Prepare and test equipment before events to confirm functionality and sound levels.

Operational Assistance:
-
Support the Audio Technician during live shows, recording sessions, or broadcasts by managing equipment and monitoring audio levels.

Operate basic soundboard controls under supervision, adjusting volume, EQ, and effects as directed.

Assist with playback of pre-recorded audio and cues during productions.
-
Monitor equipment for any technical issues and help resolve them quickly to prevent disruptions.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on audio equipment including cleaning, checking cables, and replacing faulty parts.

Help troubleshoot common audio problems such as signal loss, feedback, or distortion.

Maintain an inventory of audio gear and report any damage or missing equipment.

Assist in setting up and maintaining audio recording software and hardware.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with Audio Technicians, Sound Engineers, performers, and production staff to ensure audio requirements are met.

Communicate effectively to understand technical needs and relay information during events.

Assist in training junior staff or volunteers in basic audio setup and safety protocols.

Follow directions carefully and adapt to changing production needs.

Health and Safety Compliance:

Adhere to safety guidelines related to electrical equipment and stage setups.

Ensure cables and equipment are organized to prevent hazards.

Participate in risk assessments and implement safe work practices.
