Eligibility :  Officers in the Central / State Govt. / Statutory or Autonomous Bodies / Public Sector Undertakings: (a) Holding analogous post OR Holding post in the next below level in 8 or 7 in the pay matrix (Pre-revised PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800 + GP Rs. 4600 and GP 4800) or equivalent with 05 years regular service and (b) Possessing educational qualifications prescribed for direct recruits, as under (Period of deputation shall ordinarily not exceed 3 years). (i) Degree in Civil / Mechanical / Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture from a recognized University / Institute.

Desirable :  Experience in work connected with Inland Waterways, Dredging, river conservancy work, river training, marking of fairway, etc.

Pay Scale :  Level 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC (Pre-revised Pay Band –III of Rs. 15600- 39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-)
