Job Description

IIM Ahmedabad Requires Assistant Librarian/ Manager – Human Resources (HR)/Manager - Hospitality

Assistant Librarian

Qualification, Experience & Skill Requirements:  First Class (60% or above) in MLISc or equivalent qualification with NET/SLET/SET qualified.  Overall 8 years of experience with 5 years or more in Pay Level 7 or higher in an academic library of repute. Managing Library in a computerized environment with experience in innovative applications of ICT in library operations/services. Managing e-resources including e-journals, e-books, etc. Age: Maximum 40 years as on the last date of application. Institute provide age relaxation as per GOI rules. Additional 5 years’ age relaxation is given to the women candidates. 

Salary & Allowances: Selected candidates will be offered a scale of Level 10 (56100 - 177500).

Manager – Human Resources (HR)

Qualification, Experience & Skill Requirements: Candidate should be Graduate with Full-time Post Graduation/ MBA in Human Resources Management with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience in Personnel/HR, Pay Roll, Administration, and Legal Department. Experience in Government of India/ State Government/ Public of Autonomous Bodies or large Academic Institutions at middle or higher level position is desirable. Knowledge of HR, payroll, allowances, rules and regulations, compensation, labour laws, and statutory requirements is must. Knowledge of prevailing recruitment rules, appraisal rules, promotion rules, increment rules, pay fixation, leave rules, LTC rules, Pay & Allowances, Superannuation benefits, pension, family pension, gratuity etc. of the Central Government / State Government / PSU/ autonomous bodies/ Universities is also required.  Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal .Good computer knowledge. Should be a team player who can instil confidence and establish high performance levels.  Should have excellent networking abilities. Age: Max. 45 years as on the last date of application. Institute provide age relaxation as per GOI rules. Additional 5 years’ age relaxation is given to the women candidates.

Manager - Hospitality

Qualification, Experience & Skill Requirements: The candidate should possess full time Graduation in any discipline plus Masters or PG Diploma in Management/Catering/Hospitality/Hotel industry recognized by AICTE/UGC .Minimum 15 years of experience in Hospitality Industry. Excellent interpersonal communications and organization skills. Good knowledge of the Institutional Catering sector, trends and other market developments. 

Salary & Allowances:  Selected candidate will be offered a fixed term appointment for a period of three years on a consolidated monthly salary on CTC mode, which may be extended for further period as required. 

Age: Maximum 45 years as on the last date of application. Institute provides age relaxation as per GOI rules. Additional 5 years’ age relaxation is given to the women candidates. 

Manager – Behavioural Laboratory

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skill Requirement We wish to attract candidates with:  A solid academic qualification (Masters and above; PhD is preferred) in business, economics, finance, marketing, or a related field, with three to ten years work experience.  Evidence of research quality (e.g., for PhD, as demonstrated in the job market paper and other papers or for students with a Masters degree, Masters thesis/paper) . Ample experience in applying the experimental method in business , economics, finance, or marketing, and  IT skills necessary to run and administrate a computerized experimental laboratory. Programming skills are not necessary, but a big plus; similarly, know-how related to instruments like EEG and Eye Tracker will also be a big plus.  A very good written and oral command of the English language is required. We especially encourage academics who want to conduct their own behavioural research; this job will give them ample opportunity to pursue their own behavioural research projects and collaborate with distinguished faculty and students of IIMA. Beyond any formal requirements, we are looking for an enthusiastic, curious person who is passionate about research and willing to take on responsibility and learn on the job.

Age: Maximum 40 years as on the last date of advertisement. Government of India instructions on reservation will be followed. Women candidates are eligible for 5 years of age relaxation.
