Job Description
Security Work
Oversee overall security operations & deployment across all the locations (in and around plant premises).
Supervise and lead a team of Security Personnel, including Shift Supervisors and Security Guards.
Ensure implementation and maintenance of access control, CCTV and perimeter security systems and timely reporting to seniors.
Manage contracts (including timely renewal) and performance of outsourced security vendors and evaluate third-party security team.
Lead and motivate a diverse security team ensuring discipline, morale, and high performance.
Timely submission of the duly verified attendance sheet (as per actual attendance) of the security guards/Supervisors for further action.
Overseeing of all CCTV operations including Live monitoring, recording and retrieving of desired footages as and when required at the plant related to Security protocols.
To sensitise the HR in case of any doubtful observation with intimation to seniors.
Maintaining the log for CCTV maintenance, visit of the vendor for maintenance/repairing, timely renewal of AMC and his stay in plant as well as to coordinate with the vendor for timely repairing as per the annual contract.
Implement and monitor visitor/contractor entry procedures, ID verification, and background checks.
Ensure compliance of contractors and third-party staff with safety and security protocols.
Supervise safeguards for raw materials, finished goods, and high-value assets against theft, diversion, or sabotage.
Set up whistleblower channels and encourage confidential reporting of suspected misconduct.
Regulatory work
Conduct regular assessments and audits of security procedures to identify the gaps areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Strict implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
To prepare Draft proposal of SOP as per the plant requirement, update, and disseminate security and vigilance policies.
Monitor and ensure adherence to all internal security policies, government regulations, and statutory compliances.
Liaise with regulatory authorities, law enforcement, and security agencies as required.
Assist HR and legal teams as and when required with disciplinary actions, legal proceedings, and dispute resolutions related to security and employee functions.
Vigilance work
Lead investigations related to fraud, misconduct, theft, or ethical lapses as per the company policies.
Handle surveillance, gather intelligence, and investigate security breaches or incidents.
Conduct periodic vigilance audits and submit reports to management.
Emergency Response work
Act as the primary point of contact for incident response and management, including reporting and documentation.
Lead active risk assessments of emerging threats and implement mitigation strategies.
Oversee the development and execution of emergency response and disaster management plans.
Analyse incident data, spot patterns or vulnerabilities, and recommend changes to reduce losses from theft, pilferage, fraud, or accidents.
Lead or participate in investigations into major incidents, presenting lessons learned and recommendations for prevention.
