Assistant Professor job vacancies in Indian Institute of Technology Indore

Special Recruitment Drive for Reserved Category (i.e. OBC-09, SC-13, ST-07 & EWS-09) for Assistant Professor at IIT Indore

Assistant Professor (Grade I) : (i) PhD degree with first class at the preceding degree or equivalent in the appropriate branch/relevant areas of specializations and with a very good academic and research record. (ii) At least three years of post-PhD Research/Teaching/Industry experience. Candidates not satisfying the required post-PhD experience criterion for direct recruitment as Assistant Professor (Grade I) may be put on tenure track as Assistant Professor (Grade II).

PAY STRUCTURE: Assistant Professor (Grade I) To be appointed in the minimum Basic Pay of Rs.1,01,500/- in the Pay Level 12 as per 7th CPC. The total emoluments in the minimum Basic Pay will be Rs.1,37,984/- p.m. On completion of three years of service, an Assistant Professor (Grade I) shall be eligible to move in to the Pay Level 13A1 (minimum Basic Pay Rs.1,31,400/- p.m.) and the total emoluments in the minimum Basic Pay will be Rs.1,76,256/- p.m. including HRA and other admissible allowances.

Assistant Professor (Grade II): To be appointed in the minimum Basic Pay of Rs.70,900/- in the Pay Level 10 as per 7th CPC.

The total emoluments in the minimum Basic Pay will be Rs.98,816/- p.m. On completion of one year of service, an Assistant Professor (Grade II) shall be eligible to move in to the Pay Level 11 (minimum Basic Pay Rs. 75,300/- p.m.) and the total emoluments in the minimum Basic Pay will be Rs.1,04,448/- p.m. including HRA and other admissible allowances.
